Therese Broderick is a very unique poet I have learned. Most artist do not write summaries about the poems they write. Most poets let you imagine what the poem is like. But Therese Broderick wants you to know what she was feeling and why she wrote it. There is a showing of her thoughts and opinions on the topic. Not only does she write about normal everyday things but things that catch her eye and what she thinks is important."I intend for it to be a beautiful work of human language (spoken/heard) that leads to wonder about the human condition" Therese Broderick wants people not only to think something is just ordinary but she wants people to think what she writes about is beautiful and in away touching. She likes to write about her daughter Elisabeth a lot. her daughter just turned 18 last January. A book was dedicated for her daughter for when she turned 18. "love is complicated and difficult. Love can be expressed, partially, through authenticity of emotion and action, even if the emotions and actions are less than praiseworthy." I kind of relate to her on what she thinks about love. Love should be something shown and by the actions not by gifts or stuff like that. People really need to appreciate more beauty and what love is. It should not be something you take for granted. I feel Therese Broderick really relates that into her poems.Therese Broderick is going to be a poet I will like listening to.
Questions:
1. Why do you like to write about your daughter? Is she something that inspires your writing?
2. When did you start writing?
