Round Four: Robyn Ringler

2008 Robyn Ringler opened up her book shop East line Books.  Robyn Ringler has and had seen a lot thru her years. In her essay Letter to Al Pacino she states that she has seen a person in a restaurant and moments later she passed him on the sidewalk dead. "A man died on the sidewalk in front of our eyes. Minutes earlier, he had been laughing at a table next to ours in Charley O’s Restaurant." I think this would impact many peoples lives it would if I passed someone who I saw before living and breathing and moments later not breathing. That would scare me. I like this essay a lot because I can kind of relate to it. In April 9th 2008 my uncle tony had passed away an hour ago I saw him and then the next day he was gone. It really makes me think about living and you cant take things for granted. "Life and death are real" This is so true it is life and death are both real. In the essay Dissection its about how she saw her life pass thru her eyes. "My moment has come, I thought". That would be so scary to even think about. I think I would break down. I like this essay too because I feel its saying that there is always an hill that you have to learn to get over it and succeed it. "Although my body looked the same, pieces were missing." I like this quote because its true. It can relate to surgery a broken heart and other things.  "At twelve years old, my daughter, Lily, wanted a horse" This reminds me so much of my little sister. I really like this essay because it talks about her daughter and her growing up and loving horses and actually get to see one and touch one is so amazing. Robyn Ringler is a writer that kind of reminds me of what I like to write. I like to write stories and memories of stuff. that has happened in the past. Im excited to hear about her writing.
