TU Tuesday Guest Speaker

TU TUESDAY: GUEST SPEAKER
Kristi Gustafson Barlette was our guest speaker. I really liked her stories and how she was talking to all the class. She was very confident in talking and seemed very comfortable talking to all of us. I could see she felt comfortable because she was smiling alot and talking alot. She also went into great detail when questions were asked. I feel that Kristi Gustafson Barlette really connected with the audience because she could kind of relate to what we were asking. At sometimes during her talking I couldnt understand because she was talking to fast. But other than that she talked very clear and loudly so everybody could hear her. She really explained everything she was talking about and helped us understand everything she was explaining. During Kristi Gustafson Barlette she talked very loudly and I could hear everything she was saying. When she first walked in the room when she introduced herself she talked very loudly and throughout everything she was saying. I got out of this speech that anybody can change there minds in what they think they want to do at first. They can change it too something they really want to do or something they might love more. I felt that the organization of what she was talking was all like mixed up because people had totally different questions so it wasnt like all on one subject at a time. Personally I really liked the guest speaker and I would recommend her to come in again because she really relates to everyone and awnsers everyones questions without hesistaion. Some speakers are boring to listen to but Kristi Gustafson Barlette really had the class engadged in what she was saying. It was very easy to sit thru and listen to her because she was very interesting and grabbed all of our attentions.

2.How long have you been loving the cows for? Why are they your favorite animal.
Comments:
1. I think its awesome that you are brave enough to milk a cow. I think of milking a cow as a scary thing because im so afraid I may hurt the cow.
2. Sometimes I wish I could work with my favorite animals which are dolphins but I have never gotten the chance. Like its nice to be able to actually communicate and interact with an animal you love.

Opinion Prompt #2

Prompt #2 Child testimonies in abuse cases are not credible

I think this is so wrong because I believe a child is a good source. A child wouldnt lie if a parent was physically abusing them. A child should be credible becuase they know what really happens behind closed door. Its unfair that a child is not credible because judges usually believe the parents even if they could be lying. I think you can tell in a childs eyes. Why wouldnt you believe if  a child is being abused if he or she says it. Why would they want to lie about something like that. A lawyer cant say what goes on in a childs family they can deffend the child but they cant really know what has happend. The only person that would know is a child. Thats what I think, I do not agree with child testimonies in abuse cases are not credible.

I want to write about # 87

#87 write about a time you broke a bone

It was November of  5th grade cold but not freezing. I was outside rollerblading on the driveway, my dad was sitting on the steps. I was having so much fun that is probably why I didn't notice the rock. That's when I fell to the ground right on my wrist. I started to cry and cry. My dad ran towards me and scooped me up and rushed me inside the house. He put me on the island in the middle of the kitchen. I sat there crying. My dad was feeling my wrist he didn't think anything was wrong with it. So he wrapped a bandage over it. That night I was laying on my bed. Somehow in the middle of the night I fell off the bed. I woke up with my wrist bruised and all weird looking. I went up to my parents and my mom immediately took me to my pediatrician. My doctor sent me to some bone and joint place and I got an x-ray. That's when they told me. My left wrist was broken. They then took me to this back room and put a white cloth over my wrist and then white gauze. Then they asked what color cast I wanted. I said red cause it was the school color. They started to wrap my wrist. I went to school afterward and everybody wanted to sign my cast. I had my cast on for 3 months. I then got my cast off. Now my wrist is fine.

I= Idlewild theme park

Info taken from: http://www.idlewild.com/site/attractions.php

Idlewild is an amuesment park was invented in 1998 and is located in Pennyselvania.
I would go to this amuesment park because not only are there rides but there is a water park.
7 things I would do while I am there:
1. I would ride the scrambler because it looks like a fun ride. You are put into a seat with another person and then it spins you around and around.
2. I would want to ride the rollo coaster. I find this unique because instead of one roller coaster going to roller coasters are going together and join together at the end.
3. The spider ride looks like a great ride to ride but scary because you are in the air and have only a bar holding you. Its one of the most popular thrill rides there.
4.If you have small kids under the age of 5 idlewild theme park has a great place for kids. Its called the Jumpin Jungle. There are tons of things for kids to do if they dont like rides. There a slides and being able to jump into buckets of balls and theres even a net playhouse.
5.If you are looking for great entertainment in each section of the park there is a show that is played. Cirque Extreme is one of the top shows for amuesment parks in the country.
6.Take a ride back to the old times hootin holler is part of the park where there are rides from the old days also stories from the older times.
7. If its a hot day and you dont want to just ride rides there is the water park. The water park is called soak zone. Over 10 water rides. Also while there you can check out there new ride Wowabunga Family Wave Pool, where you and your family can swim together.

I really want to go to this theme park because its kind of close to where we live and there are tons of rides. It looks like a fun amuesment park.

"A house is not a home"

This proverb has meaning to me because I believe a house isnt a home. I believe this because a home is where the heart is. A house is a place where you live but it may not always be where you want to be. A home is where you feel safe and comfortable. Where you can laugh and be who you are. A house with strangers isnt a home. Anywhere, where you can feel comfortable or love to be is a home. A home is where theres people that love you. A house can be small or large and its not about the size of the house its the welcoming smiles and the warmth that makes it a home. That is why this quote makes so much sense to me because I believe in this.

Event Poem

Changed My life

Two towers standing so tall
your sweet soul in there
no one to hold
watching it go down on the tv
only five but made a huge difference
in who i am today
Changing me maybe for the better
maybe not
a death always hurts but we never thought
making me stronger and building who I am today
taking someone I love away from me
I will never forget the day that
changed my life forever
September 11th
I'll be missing you always
your in my heart forever
