TU TUESDAY

http://blog.timesunion.com/highschool/casted-as-disappointed-extra-4/28325/

"I expect nothing. I will blend into the background and be a cog of the well oiled machine that is a musical, just as I have most years since fourth grade."  Repetition of using I. Repetition of a word.

"I remember when I was a sophomore, I was arguing with a senior friend of mine that seniority should not have a place in the casting process; that it should be 100% talent based." Imagery- showing or a picture you can get in your mind from a phrase or sentence.

"I know I’m not the best singer. I have no delusions of grandeur. I can carry a tune, but there is no way I could ever make it in a karaoke bar, let alone on Broadway. I know that I can’t dance. Again, I’m not this lady but the cotton eyed joe is about as good as it gets with me." Hyperbole- an exaggeration

I think this article shows a great amount of figurative language in it. It really helps and pops out all the imagery hyperbole's and repetition in the article. It shows how a young student may not think they are the best but then get casted in a role in the musical. It kind of reminds me of myself when I was in middle school. For the first two years I was an extra until 8th grade I became a lead. I can see all the figurative language that you get out of this piece which helps the piece come together in the end.

Original Poems III.

 ROAD SIGN POETRY

                                                   STOP
Stop the hate stop the crime
but do not ever stop your mind
cars rushing thru to fast stop them before a car accident

Love is fair love is kind
dont stop your heart from feeling
stop your crying little angel
for one day you will be able to stop the world

stop violence because its no use
dont cry please dont you have to choose
dont stop dont stop believe in yourself and follow thru.

Free verse:
Education

The most important thing in life
is not what you have it is what you know
the first steps in that kindergarten class
to the last day when your wearing a cap and gown
the knowledge of life
the education of words
come together to make who you are
so always remember to thank the teachers you have
for they will teach you well and show you the path
to the word we all want Education

MEMORY POEM:
Uncle Tony

A picture can last a life time
a man that ment so much to you can be gone in a minute
the uncle who picked me up when I was down

not only my uncle but a godfather
someone who I could trust
someone with a big heart

A giant in my eyes
he passed away to young
he was the reason why I would cry

Original Poems 2

“THIS IS JUST TO SAY”
Lost but never forgotten

A old man
a grandfather
trust worthy loving

sick and passing
three little girls
growing close with
a day comes
where tears fall
and love is

all hearts together
feeling a pain
lost but not
forgotten in hearts

I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT

Love
I want to write about love
love with all features
love with a heart
a red beating heart

I want to write forgiveness
it is the best thing a person can have
minds growing together
in a common state

I want to write about loss
loss of something once their
together in minds
forever in hearts
Concrete:
Baby sister

anxiously
waiting
Scared nervous
together in a home where a family sits
and waits for the news to come
hearts pounding hard
adrenalin pulsing
a new baby
wait a
girl
