Nursery Rhymes ARE Relevant to Life

 Over the River
Over the river and through the woods
To Grandmother's house we go.
The horse knows the way

To carry the sleigh
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie.
Through the white and drifted snow, O!
Over the river and through the woods
Oh, how the wind does blow.
It stings the nose
And bites the toes
As over the ground we go. Over the river and through the woods
Trot fast my dapple gray.
Spring over the ground
Like a hunting hound
On this Thanksgiving Day, Hey!
Over the river and through the woods
Now Grandmother's face I spy.
Hurrah for the fun,
Is the pudding done?

This poem is really good because it really relates to my life today and when I was younger. When I was a little girl every time we would go to my grandmas to see them for thanksgiving we would sing the poem over the river. It  was my favorite thing ever. Now it became almost like a tradition. My sister michelle is still young and we still sing this poem all the time. Its a fun way I think to bond with your parents and siblings. Family is really important to me and this poem makes me think of how when im older im going to want to sing this with my kids. Many people don't think about the future and what they want in life but this poem really makes me think.
