"childish adults regularly conflate
opposition with
disloyalty". I can kind of understand this because some of my teachers these days act like kids. Like some of my teachers if I go and ask a question they sometimes don't even know or they will talk about what they did the weekend. Sometimes I like but others I feel like im coming for help not to socialize and laugh about how much fun I had with my kids on the weekend. I also agree with the quote "We
could encourage the best qualities of youthfulness - curiosity,
adventure, resilience, the capacity for surprising insight - simply
by
being more flexible about time, texts, and tests, by introducing
kids
to truly competent adults, and by giving each student what autonomy
he
or she needs in order to take a risk every now and then." If teachers taught us like also real life issues in society not only about history but about how its just as hard to get a job now a days i feel some kids would feel more comfortable leaving the schools.Like me I know I want to go to college but what about the kids that think they cant go to college because they aren't so called "smart" enough or have enough money. But i feel adults in school could really help influence children in what they want to do in life. I think it should start at a young age. But Ray Bradbury makes a good point about violence. I think he did a good job predicting what life is like now days along time ago."I know is either shouting or dancing around like a wild or beating up one and another."pg30 This is so true some places all the kids do is fight and fight. I feel we were corrupted by all the violence movies because those give more ideas for kids to do things like fight. I also noticed this just in our own community "do you notice how people hurt each other now a days"pg 30. Girls are so mean and gossip and start rumors and boys like fist fight. Everyone is in a way trying to hurt each other one way or another. This is what society had come down too. Gatto and Bradbury didnt fully persuade me they did in ways. But i believe society can change and the world could be more peaceful and loving if we all just tried a little harder.
