Compare and contrast conformity and inidivituallity as presented in Fahrenheit 451.
Montag in the beggining of the book was very in love with his wife. Well he thought he was. "I am very much in love" pg 22 towards the end of the book he realizes he wasnt very in love with his wife anymore. This shows that Montag was dependent on being in love in the beggining and in the end he changes. I think its because he opened his eyes and thought wow im not in love anymore i never was.Montag also was also all for the government in the beginning and agreeing with everything. He followed the five rules. Answer the alarm swiftly, start the fire swiftly, burn everything, report back to firehouse immediately and stand alert for other alarms.(pg35). He never read any books and when beatty asked him " do you have some" he automatically said no. towards the end montage started to rebel against the government and started to read. He first read the bible. He read a dozen pages here and there"(pg68) He tried to memorize as much as he could in the time he had. Montag in the end burns down his house and leaves the place where he lived because he didn't like the corruption. in the end he met four professors who told him everything they knew about the books they have once read and taught. "we are book burners too". He finally met someone like him. During the book montag has changed alot from what he used to always follow.

TU Tuesday - Local
http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Teacher-made-all-the-difference-3589554.php
Frank Wang forty years ago met a person who would change his life. That person was his teacher. Frank wang had a neurological impairment and the school didnt think he should be in it because of it. But Isabel Robinson believed in him and thought he was best fit in her second grade class. Now Frank Wang is a math proffessor. "I feel very blessed, I achieved a lot of success in my life, and I trace it back to my wonderful teachers," he said. Frank is now doing really well and its all because one teacher believe in him. The superintendent would have never thought and he says " I can't say enough about the fact that his donation really speaks volumes not only to his qualities and characteristics, but it also speaks to the power of great teachers to transform lives," It shows that teachers really can make a big difference in a students lives. "Mrs. Robinson was different." she didnt care what people thought cause she had a kid that was in a way a little diablled. But now look at Frank Wang. He is doing really good for him self. Frank now donates ton of money to the school so the teachers can be kept. "I want to do something so that her memory lasts as long as possible," She did this in honor of Mrs. Robinson cause that was the teacher who changed his life. This article really shows that teachers influence and play a big part in student lives.

5 I appreciate the military because...
5: I appreciate the military because I think the military is so strong and I feel they don't get enough recognition sometimes. The men and women out tere that are fighting for us the United states of america. They risk there own lives to protect ours. Some of the menand women out there are people who once went to our schools lived in our communties they go to our mall. I feel they need to be appreciated for all the things they do for our country risking their own lives scared every night and always ready for the next big thing. I feel people forget tha forget the fact they are people we know and love. They risk everything and for us and society now a days make memorial day a big shopping spree but really it should be about honoring the people who took their own lives for us. They really need to be more appreciated because those are families daughhters, brothers ,sons siters husbands wifes mothers and ,fathers. They give up there whole life trying to protect this country. I can honestly say i love the military for all they do for us.I appreciate the military so much because they help us and protect us and risk their lives.

What is crippling us?
"childish adults regularly conflate
opposition with
disloyalty". I can kind of understand this because some of my teachers these days act like kids. Like some of my teachers if I go and ask a question they sometimes don't even know or they will talk about what they did the weekend. Sometimes I like but others I feel like im coming for help not to socialize and laugh about how much fun I had with my kids on the weekend. I also agree with the quote "We
could encourage the best qualities of youthfulness - curiosity,
adventure, resilience, the capacity for surprising insight - simply
by
being more flexible about time, texts, and tests, by introducing
kids
to truly competent adults, and by giving each student what autonomy
he
or she needs in order to take a risk every now and then." If teachers taught us like also real life issues in society not only about history but about how its just as hard to get a job now a days i feel some kids would feel more comfortable leaving the schools.Like me I know I want to go to college but what about the kids that think they cant go to college because they aren't so called "smart" enough or have enough money. But i feel adults in school could really help influence children in what they want to do in life. I think it should start at a young age. But Ray Bradbury makes a good point about violence. I think he did a good job predicting what life is like now days along time ago."I know is either shouting or dancing around like a wild or beating up one and another."pg30 This is so true some places all the kids do is fight and fight. I feel we were corrupted by all the violence movies because those give more ideas for kids to do things like fight. I also noticed this just in our own community "do you notice how people hurt each other now a days"pg 30. Girls are so mean and gossip and start rumors and boys like fist fight. Everyone is in a way trying to hurt each other one way or another. This is what society had come down too. Gatto and Bradbury didnt fully persuade me they did in ways. But i believe society can change and the world could be more peaceful and loving if we all just tried a little harder.

TU Tuesday - Commencement Speech.

The way to be happy is to like yourself." I totally agree with this because the only way someone can be happy is if they are happy with themselves if someone isnt happy with themselves they wont be happy at all. "that’s the real reason not to lie or cheat or turn away in fear" If you lie to yourself you whole life becomes a big lie and then you cant turn back. You should never turn away from your fears you should run towards them and try your best to over come them. "sometimes a bird falls out of the nest." Everybody gets lost on the way but it doesn't mean you can get back up and fly your wings away." The person who you’re with most in life is yourself and if you don’t like yourself you’re always with somebody you don’t like." I really believe that a person should be happy with themselves so they can be happy in life and not have worries. Its true if you don't like the person you are how are you going to be able to be that person forever. “Slowly does it every time!”if you take your time your sure to be the winner in the end like in the tortoise and hair. Each great speech both have great meanings.

1 How I Use Facebook
So this might sound a little weird but i have this secret obsession with facebook. Its like one of my favorite things in the world. I use my facebook in many way. Im going to name them. I use facebook for the number one reason everybody has one its the social networking place where you can know you can find your relatives in the world. Like the other day I got five requests from some cousins from Greece....I don't even remember meeting them. The second reason I use facebook is so I can secretly see what people are up too. Its the best when you can look at peoples profile and they will never know if you looked at there's. The only down side is sometimes I wish who saw my Facebook profile. A third reason I use facebook is not cause im arrogant or self centered I just like being photogenic. I love adding new photos to my Facebook and having people comment and like them. It always makes me happy when I see someone commenting or liking my photo. The fourth and final reason why I use facebook is because its a great social networking place where you can talk about yourself and chat to your friends. I love the fact that when I log on there are messages waiting for me. It makes me feel special. But that is How I use Facebook.
